Curriculum vitae

Dr. Pierannunzii graduated in Medicine with honors from the University of Milan, where subsequently completed the residency program in Orthopaedics and Trauma.

In spring-summer 2005 he was international fellow of Dr. Richard S. Laskin at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

In his surgical practise, he focussed on hip and knee reconstruction, achieving remarkable expertise in total hip and knee arthroplasty, revision arthroplasty, hip and knee arthroscopy, lower limb fractures fixation.

Dr. Pierannunzii is an attending surgeon of the Gaetano Pini Orthopaedic Institute in Milan.

He is also Executive Editor of the Journal of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, international journal of the Italian Society of Orthopaedics and Trauma; member of the Editorial Committee of the Archivio di Ortopedia e Reumatologia, national scientific journal of the Gaetano Pini Orthopaedic Institute; member of the "Hip Faculty" of the Italian Society of Arthroscopy (SIA) and deputy coordinator of the scientific committee of the Italian Hip Society.

In 2017 he achieved the national scientific qualification for the position of Associate Professor of Orthopaedics and Traumatology and Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation.
